ughh so me and new-ish manager H and manager J were all going to interview for the kitchen manager position that is opening up at our store. our boss has known this for a while. he has told us the position is still open, and he supports all of us in interviewing. H went out to lunch with a friend she used to work with at a different store, and the friend had a letter with her from the company telling her congratulations, you are hired as kitchen manager for OUR store, here is your salary etc.
our boss is still telling us the position is open/is expecting us to all still interview for it/work harder to prove ourselves for a position that is already filled
